Simply Timeless Aqua Lube

Ingredients:

  • Water (Aqua),

  • Propanediol, is a chemical substance either derived from corn or petroleum. It can be clear or very slightly yellow. It’s almost odorless.

  • Sodium Hyaluronate,  is the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a glycosaminoglycan found in various connective tissue of humans.

  • Stevia Rebaudiana Leaf Stem Extract, comes from the green leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant, a small shrub in the sunflower family that grows naturally in South America. The leaves are best known for their sweet steviol glycosides such as stevioside and rebaudioside A, but they also carry flavonoids, amino acids and trace minerals that can be useful for skin care

  • Squalene (with an “e”) is an oily compound that’s found naturally in our bodies, in other animals and in plants. How much squalene your body makes declines with age, leaving your skin dry.  Squalene from plants and animals can be unstable in skin care products. To avoid the ingredient from spoiling or becoming rancid, it’s converted or hydrogenated into squalane (with an “a”), making it a stable form that can be used for skin care purposes.

It can convert into a range of hormones, including androgens and estrogens, the male and female sex hormones.  DHEA is also available in supplements, made synthetically using chemicals found in soy and wild yam. Laska - My Opinion: Wicked Timeless Lubricants are a really nice collection of Water-base, Silicone and Hybrid for those who are interested in lubricants using ingredients that are not available in other lubricant formulations.

For example, if needed personal lubricants to use with catheters or with sounding devices the ingredient - Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract which is an extraction process of the Olive Leaf Leaves not the Olive Oil itself - the properties of these Leaves in this extraction process - can help with ease when inserting through the urethra. (Note: Oils should not be used with catheters as the oil can break down the equipment and cause blockage.)

The consistency of Olea Europeea (Olive) Leaf Extract can help create a smooth barrier for some people. And for some people the added use of Silicone - ie Timeless Silicone formula as the mix of Silicone with the Olive Leaf Extract can create an much more smoother barrier - but the choice is yours as everyone’s body reacts differently to ingredients.

For older adults this formula such as the Aloe Vera, Squalane and Soduim Hyaluronate - see below the difference between Hyaluronic Acid and Soduim Hyaluronate. Again it is your body and the choice to use certain ingredients over another is a personal choice. And I offer the education and information for you to decide what is best for you and your body.

Hyaluronic Acid is a polysaccharide that occurs naturally in the human body and works to support the body’s collagen production and to help maintain elasticity. This natural molecule is specifically found in the hair, eyes, nerves, and in the lubricating liquid substance between the joints and tissues. In the skin, Hyaluronic Acid works to occupy the areas between collagen and elastin and to renew and enhance the skin’s natural suppleness for a healthy appearance and texture. Young skin also abounds in Hyaluronic Acid; however, these amounts show an inverse relationship with increasing age, and the result is skin that appears older.

Sodium Hyaluronate, an all-natural water-soluble form of Hyaluronic Acid, works in a similar way, offering better skin penetration and stability. The added gain when using Sodium Hyaluronate is that it penetrates the skin more easily than Hyaluronic Acid. This does not imply that one is better than the other, rather it indicates that cosmetic products containing both ingredients deliver even more profound benefits to the skin. The appeal of Hyaluronic Acid – and by extension Sodium Hyaluronate – is increased by the fact that it is naturally occurring in the human body, as this suggests that the product will not be toxic or harmful to the skin.

One note for all Personal Lubricants - Moisturizers - the ingredients listed in any product reacts different to every different body type. The best defense for Lubrication for women in the vaginal canal is through diet and exercise first as there is not a quick fix to our hormonal balance. We have 22 different levels of bacteria in our bodies and the balance per women is very unique - therefore what works for one might not work for another. Our medical system does not have a general answer yet alone enough money and time with medical research on the female body. So my suggestion: you are what you consume -therefore diet, exercise and calm mind and body is first, research into what ingredients might best for your body and start low and slow in amounts and products. But then that is just my opinion.
