Shipping and Cost of Fuel

3 May 2007

Our company sells in bulk only which means that our products are only packaged in sealed plastic bags.

Recently the cost of fuel here in Canada is over $1.20 per litre and our government and analysts expect it to rise to $1.50 plus this summer.  Definitely over-priced which is mostly taxes incorporated in the gas and fuel prices.

However, when it comes to business, we pay a fuel surcharge on shipping with any courier or our Canadian postal service.  The price of fuel surcharge is directly related by the shipping charge of the package.

Our company, Sex Ed with a Twist, we only sell in bulk, our packages are directly related to actual shipping weight of the items not dimensional weight which is the size of the box not the actual weight of the box.  Other wholesalers of adult novelties sell you packaged novelties; therefore, when shipping out, you the retailer, are paying for dimensional weight of that package, which we averaged is 20-30% more than shipping from our company.

In addition, we ship our products directly from China, only in bulk and the shipping charges are directly incorporated into our pricing, but because we are packaging our items in bulk we save money than by purchasing packaged items and shipping direct to Canada.

Canada is wide and vast country and with the rise of fuel costs, our shipping costs are going to rise as well which means our cost of consumer items will increase.  However by purchasing your adult novelties in bulk, you will save money in shipping and in fuel surcharges.

Not only are you becoming more environmental friendly in packaging in bulk but environmental friendly in shipping as well.  And yes that means your business is doing something better for the environment.
